pest issue? ETC. Inform tenant all people & pets in unit will need to stay out of unit prior to starting
treatment, & following treatment for 3 hours. We do NOT discuss potential treatment plan with tenant.
We do NOT discuss other units, unrelated or ongoing issues with the tenant - After knocking 3 times if no one comes to answer the door, we then use key to open the door and
announce yourself (I’m “your name” with Environmental Pest Management) Check to see if animals
are present, if so we are NOT to treat unit even if pet is caged. All people & pets must be out of unit - Check for preparedness (Refer to our Bed Bug preparation on web site, or use cheat sheet). If unit is
not prepared for treatment take pictures of reasons why unit is not ready, and also picture of unit door
number. Technician is to also look for signs of tenant self treating unit such as but not limited to
chemical spray can like Raid Bed Bug & Flea spray. Or powder substances around baseboards &
furniture. If noticed technician is to document by taking pictures, recommending tenant stop using,
clean up & remove. Then report to leasing agent in service notes, as well as documenting in work
order system. Technician is to NOT spray over top any powder substances. Technician will then use
his/her discretion on whether unit can be properly treated. - If ready proceed to next steps:
- Add 1 gallon of water to B&G
- Put on a pair of gloves, add chemical into tank (1.5oz Stryker, 12-16ML Temprid FX)
- Properly place respirator on your face (make sure respirator is properly sealed on your face)
- Adjust the sprayer tip for a heavy fan setting and treat all baseboards in all rooms including the kitchen, bathroom &
basement if present - When treating baseboards, make sure to saturate enough for chemical to bleed behind the baseboard and also into the
carpet tack stripping - Use fine fan and treat all ceiling corners, door trims, ceiling trims, window trims, shelving, and sliding closet tracks
- Treat all furniture including couches, recliners, mattress, and box springs, interior of dressers and drawers, backs of
dressers - When treating mattresses only treat tufts and folds. (Heavy infestation use PI directly on bed bugs)
- When treating box springs and furniture, also treat interior by cutting/poking small holes in dust cover
- Repeat the same process in all bedrooms, closets, living room, basement if present
- Once treatment is completed turn off all lights in the unit, leave a door tag on the inside of front door with name, time, &
place a check mark on backside of door hanger marking bed bug treatment. Do NOT schedule follow up service with
tenant - Return keys to rental office, give the manager any service notes from your service. These notes need to include activity
levels, clutter issues, if there are any untreatable items that need removed, or any signs of tenant self treating take
pictures and inform rental office - Return to truck, complete Pest Pac and Work Order System. Always placing any pictures you may have taken into
Work Order System. If unit is not available in the work order system, place ALL service notes into Pest Pac order - Press completed service in Pest Pac, head to next stop on schedule
